Real American traits?
To All of You out there that think that Americans should be able to Rape, Murder, Torture, Use Depleted Uranium, White Phosphorous, and generally ANY MEANS NECESSARY against a people simply because we Started a War with them-
Remember these traits: They are not Uniquely American, but as an American, I consider them to be of Utmost Concern in my Country, my Government, and most importantly - MYSELF:
HONOR - DIGNITY - DECENCY
These things are not Necessary for a Nation to have. They are not required to defend your country. They are easy to cast aside in times of anger, fear, and confusion. It takes a strong person to hold onto these traits in troubling times.
These things may slip out of your grasp sometimes, no matter how tightly you try to hold on.
Anytime that I have let my fear or anger win over my sense of honor, dignity, and decency I have always regretted it. And I always felt a sense of shame when I have given in.
Nothing is gained by disregarding your Honor, by forgetting your Dignity, nor by setting aside your Decency.
There are a lot of reasons to be a proud American, to love your country, to fight against those who would destroy everything it stands for.
There is never any reason to Belittle our Nation's Honor, To Betray its Dignity, and to Piss on its Decency by committing the vilest of actions.
There is No justification strong enough to trample the flag underfoot as the terrified and ignorant among us want us to do because they are afraid of our enemies.
Honor, Dignity, and Decency, to an American, should be our most precious possessions. An American who respects himself and his nation will go to extremes to fullfill every promise, vow and letter of his code of honor. Even though none may be around to see it's fullfilled, he does so regardless. He will be considered a man of honor and highly respected for such.
An American with Honor, Dignity, and Decency will be admired and respected even by his enemies. He will defend his country's honor, dignity and decency at all costs, even to the death. He has respect for his enemies even when locked in mortal combat.
Do not turn your back on these critical matters of inner strength. We can be a nation of cowardly killers or we can be a nation of Honorable warriors. The choice is up to each and every one of us.
